Crafted in Kathmandu.
Global Impact.
We are building the next generation of infrastructure tools. No compromises on quality, security, or design. Built specifically for the modern Developer, Engineer, and DevOps professional.
Why Knotic?
The name is a fusion of Knot and Kinetic.
"Knotic represents a dynamic, interconnected network that is securely tied together."
A knot symbolizes a strong, unbreakable connection, while kinetic energy represents the speed and movement of data across the modern web.
Independent. Secure.
Local. Never Compromised.
Free for your own servers. Local by default — nothing leaves your machine unless you choose it. Answerable to you, not to a vendor’s roadmap or an ad network.
Independent
No investors steering the roadmap, no growth team deciding what belongs in your terminal. Features ship because operators asked for them.
Secure by Default
Credentials are encrypted at rest with a key bound to this device and held in your OS keychain. Security is the default state, not a setting you have to find.
Local First
Your SSH keys never leave this machine. Hosts, history and settings stay local by default, no account is needed to connect to anything, and it keeps working offline. Anything that syncs is opt-in.
Free at the Core
Everything you need to reach and operate your own servers is free, for personal and commercial work alike. No seat counts, no host limits, no trial timer.
Best Tech, No Shortcuts
A compiled Go core and a native system webview — no bundled browser, no legacy runtime. The right tool for each layer, chosen on merit rather than habit.
Always Advancing
The stack is kept current, not frozen at the version that shipped. Performance work and new capability land continuously — and updates are free.
Shaped by Feedback
Bugs and feature requests come from people running this in production, and they are what shape what gets built next.
Never Compromised
No ads, no data sold, no dark patterns. The only thing we receive is anonymous feature counts — no hostnames, no commands, no content. When speed and safety pull against each other, safety wins.
How paid features work
- 1
The core stays free. Reaching, operating and managing your own servers is free, permanently. That is the product, not a trial of it.
- 2
Paid features only ever add. Where a feature carries real ongoing cost — team collaboration, shared infrastructure, anything we run for you — it may be paid. Those sit on top of the free app, never in front of it.
- 3
Nothing free becomes paid. A capability that ships free stays free. New paid features will be new — the line does not move behind you after you have built your workflow on it.
Team Shield — end-to-end encrypted access sharing for teams — is the first feature built on that rule, and it is what funds the free core.

Every developer deserves expert-grade tools. We're leveling the playing field for solo architects and small teams.
Built in Kathmandu
Proudly independent. Developed, maintained, and scaling globally from Kathmandu, Nepal.
Global by Default
Engineers on every continent run KnoticSSH against their own infrastructure, on macOS, Windows and Linux.
Where KnoticSSH comes from

Niraj Rawal
"KnoticSSH was born out of a simple need: a secure, world-class tool for engineers in Nepal who face unique challenges with international payments and local privacy. My mission is to build software that feels as premium as any Silicon Valley tool, crafted right here in Kathmandu."
